Advertisement has been the most effective tool of business enterprises to market their products and leave an impression in the minds of the customers. Every now and then entrepreneurs set aside a certain amount from their business budgets for promotional purposes. However, small firms with low funds need to be judicious while making such expenses as every penny is precious for the business.

Understanding the Need:

Advertisement should not be considered as the only medium to generate high sales and subsequent revenues. Entrepreneurs need to understand that ad is just a way to bring the company’s name before the public in a glorified manner and some substantial content. Thus every ad must aim at appealing and holding back the public attention. So ads must be planned and designed such a way that they build an impact on the potential consumers.

Ad Designing:

When on a budget, ads need to be designed considering the expenses that could be made on size, color, font, illustration and nature of media. Small firms with strict budgets should prefer print media than can yield successful results with maximum reach. An ideal way is to go for full page ads. But if resources don’t permit, then enterprises can look for the best possible size available for them, even if it isn’t as big as a full page one.

Positioning of the Ad:

Every ad should be clear and prominent, to capture the attention of the readers. The right size of ad also needs to be placed equally well. To make an ad successful, it should be placed ideally to capture maximum attention. Like an ad for cars and motorbikes would be noticed much when put on a sports page. This will ensure that the ad reaches its potential buyers.

Unique in Presentation:

In order to make an ad unique, entrepreneurs need to understand the consumer psyche. An ad should be different from others and stand out in the crowd. Post designing, an ad needs to be properly placed and presented to capture maximum attention. Budget should not be considered as a setback for entrepreneurs as all it matters is being creative and better than the competition.
